I've always thought the initial large slice of revenue from sin taxes should go to treating people addicted to that what generated the sin taxes. Counter-intuitive but stable.
What's the target for Oregon pot revenue, education, roads, public safety?
I ask that ironic question because it wouldn't be the first time education was used to sell legalization of an addictive behavior to the elected officials.
In Maryland every casino ad finishes up with an addiction statement and the number for an addiction hot line. It's a start.
Not that I'm against freedom and non-violent behavior or anything, y'know, man, but, like, wait, what?
