I grew up with that commercial
I thought, as some have said, that things were wrapped up a little too neatly, but I did like the final minutes. I remember the later part of the decade way better than the early part, but it's been interesting to watch.
One of my memories from that period is the death of a friend's mother from lung cancer c. 1969, so that part was particularly touching for me.
One of the striking things about the final show for me was the notion of seeing people "as they are." We got to see both Joan and Betty without their makeup, and Don, when he was on the phone, actually looked like a man his age, rather than like a man trying to stay ten years younger.
