Thought you would find this video interesting.

I don't think I can agree with RM's logic. It makes me like him more, and a really fit POTUS not being anykind of a bad thing.

GW, I think still ride a MTB apparently...

yeah

I've read before that he's a pretty good cyclist and really likes to ride. Can't quite see the bike, but he used to ride a Serotta.

When in town(Boston)

He often shows up at the old Saturday morning CRW ride out of Nahanton park in Newton. Can also be seen frequently at Belmont WW.

So at his level in this Fema funded HLS state we have been in, does he have cycling SS agents? I guess not if the Police had to escort him to the SLBS. ;)

Our prime minister here (Tony Abbott) is a keen cyclist, and has been for a long time. He completed an Ironman triathlon four or five years ago when he was opposition leader (wearing pink lycra, no less), and still manages to regularly get out on the bike.

Can't say I care for his politics, though, cyclist or not.

Years ago, I took former SecAF Sheila Windall for a ride with a group of us in Germany when she made a stop at Ramstein. She was okay, the outdoor rec folks set up a nice Red White and Blue Cannondale for her with road tires and such. She slugged out 50 kilometers with us. It was odd to have a black Suburban following us the ENTIRE time... I felt like their weapons were pointed at my head as much as at the ready to protect her.

Nick, I like the AUS PM, he is willing to tell the world he is an atheist. I don't like anti personal firearm thing though. I had heard he was VERY fit and having a fit leader I feel is an important thing.

W had MTB trails put in at Camp David and has them all over his land in Crawford. And yes, from what I understand he still rides. I remember years ago he rode some with LA, when LA was not a pariah.

Well, considering they are both kind of now, maybe they can ride again together... Only 1/2 kidding...

Gotta say GW was for the most part a better president than our current one.

LA was the biggest liar and cheat in sports history. There is no question about that.

I can not agree with that one little bit. But I did not mean to do that but I did. I apologize. They both suck for different reasons. Let me leave it at that...

My opinion of the two presidents are the exact opposite of Erik's.

About the only thing I like about GW was the fact he rides a mtn bike!

Erik, you must be thinking of someone else. Tony Abbott is pretty far from being an atheist - he attended Jesuit schools, and after graduating from university he intended to enter the priesthood and trained as a Roman Catholic seminarian, though he gave that away before graduation and instead became a journalist and then a politician...

He's been a cyclist for a long time - I can remember meeting him on a touring ride almost 30 years ago, quite a few years before he entered politics.

Yep I twisted the leaders of your country around in my head.

I was thinking of

http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Julia_Gillard

and got the name entirely wrong.

Back to Kerry's bike in Switzerland - must be nice not to have to worry about boxing up your bike when you have your own private 757 and staff to make sure it doesn't fall over in the cargo hold.
