So I went to IHOP yesterday
Damn, they watch what you do. I had my iPhone with me, I had logged in there at some time in the past on their WiFi. I noted I was on their WiFi but never opened the browser on my phone or any apps, I try not to mess with my phone when eating, I feel it is rude. No big deal really but I got home and picked up my
iPad
this morning and logged into a shooting website. I got IHOP banner adds!!!
I have "limit add tracking" turned on both devices. There is no question in my mind that my that my movements were tracked and reported within the Apple system. I have
never
seen it this blatant and most of the time it based on my browsing history, I get gun and bike ads on Drudge Report all the time and now get guitar store ads too. I expect that. But the IHOP thing is really kinda rude on the part of Apple because I have the ad tracking limited on my devices.
Don't use the free Wifi at an adult toy store....
