That's nothing...

Case Mt. is just two miles from my house. Elevation 730 ft. OK, not as impressive as yours, but at least I can ride my mountain bike to the summit.

That's nothing plus one

Bradbury Mountain is about 6-7 miles from my house, 407'. Lots of mtn bike trails in the Park, not to the top though, but you can walk up in a few minutes. Nice view from the top:

Our Great Blue Hill

Only 640 feet

From which the state got its name:

The name of the Massachusett Indian tribe and their language (and thus the name of the Bay, Colony, state, etc.) derive from the Massachusett name of the hill: massa-adchu-es-et, where massa- is "large", -adchu- is "hill", -es- is a diminutive suffix meaning "small", and -et is a locative suffix, identifying a place.[4]

This is the place used for Boston area cyclists looking for some vertical training:

I have not lived in Boston since 1978 and know those buildings in a NY second. ;)

Re: That's nothing: ;)
Mt. Hood is 11,250', so yeah a bit taller... The camera is right at about 40 miles from the peak.

Local mountains

I used to live near Mt. Pleasant. Flat as a pancake but they still sold bumper stickers that said "I climbed Mt. Pleasant"
