Supposedly it's actually gold colored...

...so perhaps it looks better in person.

Do 3 of the center riders have gold makeup on their foreheads? Or am I seeing things??

I can see the point, butt ;) white shorts are worse to my eyes.

Marketing genius. Even if they win every race they enter they won't get as much coverage as the crazy kit picture has.

Any fame is fame.

The gold on their heads is because of the overhead projector shining on them. I brief using overheads enough that I know that look and avoid it.

Actually, the picture I saw a few days back was smaller and not as clear. In that picture, they look like they were nude in the mid-section!

The blow up picture doesn't 'suggest' nearly as much...

Maybe I'm not easily shocked but several of the Pro Tour kits aren't any better looking.

Big Whoop

Not very attractive IMHO but hardly scandalous.

PG-13 rated photo

I'm trying to keep things above the fray here. ;-) Like April, it was this photo view, a grainier & less in focus one, that I 1st viewed and did a double take.

The best gold colored team kit I've witnessed was by Julius Caesar incarnate, Mario Cippolini and his Cannondale sqad donned at TdF stage.

I wonder

whether the "nude" shots had been massaged a little in the color range. These certainly don't look like the early pictures that were published. Not great, but eh, I've seen worse (what was the mens' team with the white shorts?)

I sure do not remember, but it was worse IME.

For sure, I'm not crazy about the colors, but ooh la la, I'm not going to complain about anything that one on the far right wears.

Not as bad as being on a group ride and finding yourself sitting on the wheel of a rider whose bum crack gleams at you because their semi-transparent very elderly knicks should have long since been retired.

Happens quite often. Maybe Australians are just too parsimonious when it comes to replacing their knicks...

Not always a bad thing. A couple of years ago, on a group ride, we got behind a good looking young lady who's shorts were also quite thin and adequately transparent. One of the guys gestured frantically that we were not to go around her.

Cannondale and Saeco paid the fines because it was GREAT marketing.
