OT - adblocker freeware

Are any of you using an adblocker freeware with IE 11? Pros and cons? Functionality?

I use FF and use Adblock Plus, it is transparent pretty much. Here I just white list the site. I also use Ghostery, which seems to have a lot more to do frankly.

Is your question specific to IE 11 with the ad blocker?

love me some ABP+

custom content blocking is the shizz,

can make sites that are loaded with flash bloatware silent, simple, and snappy!

iMac, problem solved.

I GAVE up on M$ completely and had no time to deal with ubuntu.

I have a MacBook Air 11 now that is my go to machine for everything. I use my iPad for documents at work and light email. The Air brought me back to a true computer because the dang thing is fantastic.

ABP ABP!

How does having a Mac make any difference?

Ads are almost entirely independent of browser type--it's just that Firefox makes it trivially easy to implement AdBlock. I expect some other browsers do as well. And if you don't care about such things, IE has actually become a fairly decent browser.

IE 11

My question is specifically which adblocker to use (if any) with IE 11. With all due respect I have made my choice of browser and just want to know what, if anything, I can do to deal with a few sites that are essentially bloat ware.
