Seattle visit, Space Needle / Chihuly garden and glass

View from the Needle on the clear day we got lucky with was just incredible!

As if not more incredible was the Chihuly works exhibits next door.

The web site worth a visit.

2 pictures I took from inside the Glass Garden:

Clouds? Rain?

I've always thought the whole clouds/rain thing in Seattle was exaggerated to dissuade Californians from moving there. The one week I spent in Seattle had some of the most delightful sunny, moderate weather you could imagine.

Don't think so

My sister lives there, I'm pretty sure Seattle gets plenty of clouds and rain. I love the City though. The Space Needle is cool, fun to eat while you're spinning around. The Chihuly Museum is spectacular, but I think I got a bit of sensory overload, seemed a little over the top to me and I actually like some of his smaller stuff better.

If you bring a bike there are some honkin' hills in the City, not to mention RAMROD which I've done twice. And it's the home of Wayne Lim!

Clouds/Rain.

Here too, when the cold front blasts in the clouds get blown out. So clouds and mild or clear and pretty cold and windy.

I read the 24^ in the boot thread and got dressed and ready to go out on the bike instead of the computrainer yesterday. All my bikes where still locked up [from Seattle trip] and the keys in Elaine's car [at work with her]. So I went for a walk instead. On the return the headwind / wind chill was probably about 24^ effective and worse on the gusts. I turned and walked backwards a few times on gusts. ;O

It is clear and cold since WED in the PNW and looks like it remain so for a few days. Then when it gets 50ish again, cloudy... But actually better for riding than the windy cold, just more depressing. ;O
