We live and ride mostly in Florida, so we also don't keep our Arai drum brake on unless we are traveling to hillier places.

I used to use a handlebar mounted friction thumb shifter control for the Arai, but it doesn't fit on our newer handlebars which have a 31 mm center section vs. the old bars which were 26. Do you (or anybody for that matter) have a suggestion for such a device that would work on the newer larger diameter bars?

Thought about giving the stoker control of the drum brake but I am hesitant to do so. I feel that it could potentially cause a dangerous situation. For instance, if we were crossing a road with a car barreling down and I knew we could make it so I start to accelerate but my stoker disagrees and decides to apply the drum brake, I could leave us in harms way.
